The Wilmington, Folkington & Milton Street Club is a registered charity run by a committee of volunteer residents.
All residents of the three villages are automatically members of the Village Club – there is no charge for membership. We aim to be self-supporting by raising enough funds throughout the year from events and available grants.
The club exists to serve the local community by organising and promoting events such as:
- Plant fairs & flower shows
- Summer jazz concerts
- Pop-up village socials
- Barbecues
- Boules tournaments
- Themed suppers
- Talks and lectures
- Classes and workshops
- Pop-up museums
- Film nights
- Annual Christmas Fair
Everyone is encouraged to participate in whatever way they can – whether that is by joining the committee and/or attending & participating in events. If you would be interested in joining the committee or would like to help with originating, organising and/or running events, please let us know! We feel very lucky to have the village hall, and want to ensure that it is used and enjoyed by all residents.
We are always eager to have new members join the committee, and would welcome fresh input from residents, including event ideas. If you have any suggestions or would like to have an informal chat to learn more about what sitting on the committee involves, please email the club secretary at: admin@wilmingtonvillage.co.uk
